What are heat transfers?
Three transfer methods, one shop
Heat transfers are press-ready graphics we print for you to apply with a heat press — no screens to burn, no printer of your own required. We print all three professional methods in-house: DTF for any fabric, screen print transfers for bold bulk runs, and dye sublimation transfers for white polyester and poly-coated hard goods.
“We had the chance to attend Impressions Expo this year, and it confirmed what we already knew — heat transfers are evolving fast. From custom DTF transfers to screen print transfers, we’ve brought that firsthand insight back into our production process to give our customers access to the latest and best in garment decoration.” — The Print Habit Team

Pricing
Starting prices for heat transfers
DTF transfer printing runs by the square foot, and faster turnaround costs a little more: from $4.00/sq ft on 3-day production, or from $3.15/sq ft on 5-day. A $12 minimum applies per sheet, so the smallest sheets work out a little above those rates — the builder shows you the exact price before you add anything to the cart.
Screen print transfers price by quantity on 15″×15″ sheets, and dye sublimation transfers start at $2/sq ft. No setup fees on any method — request a quote for exact numbers on your job.
What you’ll pay
- DTF from $3.15/sq ft (5-day)
- Screen print — by quantity (15″×15″)
- Sublimation — $2/sq ft

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What types of custom transfers and sheets do you offer?
We offer high-quality DTF (Direct to Film) transfers, screen print transfers, and dye sublimation transfer sheets. Each method is optimized for different materials, effects, and production volumes.
Can I order gang sheets for DTF or sublimation?
Yes — we support DTF gang sheets and dye-sub gang sheets so you can maximize your sheet space with multiple logos or designs. Choose between rolling gang sheets and fixed-size formats.
How durable are your custom transfers?
Our transfers are built to last. DTF and screen print transfers are rated for 50+ washes when applied correctly. Dye sublimation is permanent and won’t crack or peel on polyester garments.
What file types do you accept?
For best results, submit PNG files with a transparent background at 300 DPI. We print exactly what you upload, so make sure your artwork is properly prepared.
How fast can I get my DTF transfers?
You choose the production speed when you build your sheet: 3-day at $4.00/sq ft, or 5-day at $3.15/sq ft if you can wait a couple of extra days. The price updates as you pick, so you can see exactly what the faster option costs before you order. Need something sooner than 3-day? Ask us — we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit your date.
Can I resell your transfers under my own brand?
Absolutely. You’re free to resell any of our products under your own brand. If you do this regularly, ask about our reseller program for white-label transfer printing with optional branded packaging and inserts.
Which type of transfer is best for cotton?
Both DTF and screen print transfers work well on cotton. DTF gives a softer feel; screen print gives a more traditional bold look.
Can I press these transfers at home?
Yes. All of our transfers are compatible with standard heat presses, and instructions are included with every order. You will need a heat press.
What’s the difference between DTF and sublimation?
DTF prints on film and transfers to nearly any fabric and some non-fabric substrates. Sublimation chemically bonds ink to white polyester or poly-coated items and doesn’t work on cotton.
