Match the garment to how the shirt actually gets worn. Corporate and front-of-house roles want an easy-care twill or a refined broadcloth that presses crisp and launders well; front-desk and management read sharpest in a true oxford dress shirt. The shop floor needs rugged, stain-release industrial shirts that stand up to grease and wear. Service and medical teams are usually better served by aprons or scrubs, and any crew working near traffic or heavy equipment should start in hi-vis.

How custom workwear is decorated: screen print, DTF & leather patches

Two methods cover almost every uniform. Screen printing is the most economical way to put a simple, bold logo on a big batch of shirts — the right call for a full staff rollout. DTF (direct-to-film) prints full-color, detailed art with no minimum, and it's the easy answer when you need individual employee names or titles, because every shirt can carry different text. For a premium finishing touch, heat-applied leather and faux-leather patches add a raised badge to aprons and caps.

Screen printing lays durable, opaque ink and is the most economical route for a bold logo across a big roster — best per-piece pricing starts around 24 pieces. It's happiest on flat, stable panels like a shirt chest or a full back.

DTF (direct-to-film) prints full color with no minimum and presses cleanly onto twill, poly-cotton, and blends alike — the safe choice for detailed logos, mixed uniforms, and, above all, name and title personalization, since each shirt can carry its own text. On synthetics we press at a lower temperature so the film bonds without dye migration, typically holding 50–60 washes.

You'll also hear about direct-to-garment (DTG), which sprays ink into cotton fibers — it's built for flat, high-cotton tees, not the twill, poly-cotton, and structured shirts most uniforms use. Logo, name & title placement

Uniforms have a classic placement language. The company logo goes on the wearer's left chest — about 3.5–4 inches wide — and the employee's name or title sits on the right chest. A large logo or business name can run across the full back, sleeves take a small department or sponsor mark, and aprons carry a center-chest logo. On hi-vis, keep every element clear of the reflective tape.

Because DTF sets up each shirt individually, adding names and titles doesn't slow down a run — the logo stays identical across the team while every person gets their own name.

Outfitting a team comes down to the right garment for the job, the right fit for the people wearing it, and how you'll add your branding. Pick by fit & who's wearing it

Think about roles before sizes. Front-of-house and office staff usually want a cleaner silhouette in a dress shirt, and most of our woven styles come in both men's and women's cuts so the whole team looks consistent. Kitchen, service, and retail crews are often better served by aprons worn over a branded shirt, while medical, dental, and wellness offices typically standardize on scrubs. Ordering, turnaround & cost

Pricing depends on the garment, quantity, number of ink colors, and placement — larger team orders lower the per-piece cost, and setup is always included, with no surprise fees. Standard turnaround is about 6 business days after art approval, and many stock items ship in 1–2 days; rush production is often available when you're on a deadline.
