One shop, three lasers

Laser engraving services matched to the material, not the machine

Most engraving shops run one kind of laser and make every job fit it. We run three. A CO₂ laser for wood, acrylic and leather, a fiber laser for bare and coated metal, and a UV laser for glass, plastics and heat-sensitive pieces. Your item goes on the one that gives it the sharpest, cleanest, longest-lasting mark.

That's how one order can cover a team's personalized medals, a contractor's branded knives and a stack of named tumblers for an office, all engraved here in Coatesville and proofed before we start.

The right laser for the job

CO₂, fiber and UV laser engraving

One machine can mark many materials, but there is usually one that does it best. These are ours.

🔥

CO₂ laser engraving

Wood, acrylic, leather and coated metals. Clean cuts and deep engraving with smooth edges and rich detail.

⚙️

Fiber laser marking

Our go-to for metal engraving: stainless steel, aluminum, brass and painted metals. Permanent, high-contrast laser marking, including serial numbers, barcodes and QR codes.

✨

UV laser engraving

Glass, plastics, ceramics and delicate items. Its short (~355 nm) wavelength marks fine detail with minimal heat, so glass engraves crisp and crack-free.

Made here

Engraved on our own lasers in Coatesville

Every order runs on our equipment, not a supplier's, so we see your item before and after it's engraved. Round items like tumblers, bottles and awards go on a rotary attachment so the engraving wraps evenly. Our large-format gantry laser handles full 4×8 ft sheets for signs and bulk cut parts. Every piece is inspected before it leaves the shop.

  • Rotary for curved items
  • Customer-supplied items
  • Proof before production
  • Inspected before it ships

FAQ

Laser engraving: frequently asked questions

What can you laser engrave?

Wood, leather (real and vegan), glass, acrylic, powder-coated metal, stainless steel, aluminum and more. Popular items are tumblers and water bottles, pens, keychains, pocket knives, lighters, plaques, cutting boards, awards, medals and leather hat patches. If you're not sure about your material, call us.

What's the difference between CO₂, fiber and UV laser engraving?

A CO₂ laser is best for wood, acrylic, leather and coated metals. A fiber laser makes permanent, high-contrast marks on bare and painted metals. A UV laser marks glass, plastics and ceramics with fine detail and very little heat. We have all three, so we use whichever suits your item.

Can I bring my own item to be engraved?

Yes, in most cases. We engrave customer-supplied items as well as the products we stock. Call us or arrange a time to bring the item in, and we'll check what it's made of, which laser suits it and how the engraving will sit before we start. Nothing is engraved until you've approved a digital proof.

How much does laser engraving cost?

Laser engraving is quoted per job, because the price depends on the item, the size and detail of the engraving, and how many you need. We keep minimums low for small personalized orders and bulk runs alike. Send us your artwork, the item and the quantity, and we'll quote it fast, with a proof before anything is engraved.

What file should I send for engraving?

Vector files (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) give the cleanest result, but we can also work from a high-resolution (300 dpi) PNG. If your artwork isn't ready for engraving, we'll tell you what to adjust. Either way, you get a digital proof showing exactly how it will look before we engrave.

Does laser engraving wear off?

No. Laser engraving is permanent. The laser marks the material itself rather than printing ink on top of it, so there is nothing to peel, rub off or fade. That makes it durable and scratch-resistant on metal, wood, glass and leather, and well suited to awards, tools and everyday items that get handled a lot.

How long does an engraving order take?

Standard engraving orders are ready within 6 business days. Some items also offer a faster 3-day turnaround for a higher price; where it's available, you'll see it as an option when you order. Either way, you approve a digital proof before anything is engraved.

Do you offer gift packaging?

Yes. You can add gift boxes or bags to your order, so engraved gifts arrive ready to give. For resellers, and for anyone sending a gift straight to someone else, we also offer white-label shipping directly to the recipient, with no Print Habit branding on the package.

Do you deliver locally?

Yes. Pick up free at our Coatesville workshop, or we'll deliver to Coatesville, Downingtown, Exton and Parkesburg, with free local delivery on orders over $200. We ship everywhere else in the US with tracking. For large or delicate orders, we offer white-glove delivery with setup.
