2447 White Translucent Acrylic (often referred to as lighting white or Plexiglas® 2447) is a specialized thermoplastic sheet designed for high light transmission and even light diffusion. [ 1 , 2 ] Key Characteristics & Specifications • Appearance: Appears as a soft, milky-white or off-white translucent sheet when unlit, and glows with a bright, even distribution when back-illuminated. • Light Transmission: Typically ranges from 47% to 55% , giving it a higher light output than standard sign whites like color 7328 . • Material Type: Commonly available in cell cast acrylic • Durability: Shatter-resistant (significantly stronger than glass), lightweight, and UV-stabilized for reliable indoor and outdoor performance without yellowing.
