About the Black Acrylic 2025
Black 2025 is the industry-standard opaque black cast acrylic sheet. It has a deep, glossy black finish that blocks all light, which makes it a go-to material for bold signs, high-contrast graphics and sleek displays. Key Characteristics & Specifications • Type: Cast acrylic (PMMA). Compared with extruded sheet, cast acrylic resists cracking during cutting and leaves glossy, clean edges. • Color / Appearance: Deep, uniform black with a mirror-like gloss. 2025 is the standard industry color code for opaque black. • Light Transmission: 0%. No light passes through, even with strong backlighting. • Surface Finish: Glossy on both sides. • Durability: Up to 17 times more impact-resistant than glass, lightweight, and UV stable for indoor use and sheltered outdoor use. Why Choose Black • Maximum Contrast: White and full-color prints stand out sharply against the dark face. • Upscale Look: The high-gloss black reads as polished and premium, close to glass. • Blackout & Masking: Blocks light completely, so it works as a lightbox back panel or as a mask around lit areas. Common Applications • Signs & Nameplates: Office signs, door plates and menu boards with a modern look. • Retail & Trade Show Displays: Display bases, risers, shelf edges and backdrops. • Laser-Cut Shapes & Lettering: Logos, letters and decorative pieces with clean, polished edges. • Awards & Plaques: A dramatic base for printed or layered designs.
