We prep any artwork. We have used these customer examples because they are particularly ornate and colorful but have heavy backgrounds, thin lines, and complex color & artwork that can be difficult to get right when trying to prep graphics, make them pop, or just removing a background. Oftentimes, using AI or other background removal tools will take some of the artwork, especially overlapping colors or thin lines. We don’t remove backgrounds using these tools. We use advanced Adobe tools to knockout, halftone, and enhance artwork and colors. This uses less ink and makes your prints brighter, softer, and feel great while improving quality, not sacrificing it.

Why Your DTF Prints Don’t Feel Right (and How to Fix It)

  • Heavy ink and plasticky feel = poor DTF print quality & uncomfortable feel

  • Messy backgrounds and wrong colors = wasted transfers

  • Solution: halftones for DTF + knockout + color prep → softer, cleaner prints

Even if your print doesn’t have a background, halftones will reduce amount of ink, increase soft feel, remove “haze” around images, at the edges, and makes for smooth gradients. Request larger halftones for cool retro looks!
