Summary:
In this video, we walk you through DTF gang sheet printing step by step. You’ll learn how to upload your artwork, resize it for different placements, and order your own heat transfer gang sheet with Print Habit. Using custom DTF sheets makes it easy to combine multiple designs onto a single gang sheet transfer, saving you time and money while delivering bold, professional results on cotton, polyester, and even dark garments.

Step-by-Step DTF Transfers By Size Ordering Process

Step 1: Visit the Custom DTF Transfers Page
Start by visiting our website at PrintHabit.com. From the menu, go to Custom Products → Custom DTF Transfers, then scroll until you see DTF Transfers by Size. Click the Order DTF Transfers Now button to open the product page.

Step 2: Upload Your Artwork

On the product page, pricing is calculated at $0.031 per square inch, with quantity discounts available for larger orders. Click the DTF Transfers by Size button, and an upload window will appear. You can upload your own artwork files (PNG is recommended) or choose from the gallery.

After uploading, the system will display your artwork along with details like image resolution, width, height, and quantity. The resolution should ideally be 300 DPI for sharp custom DTF gang sheets printing results.

Step 3: Resize & Optimize for Quality

You can resize your artwork directly in the interface. If you keep “maintain aspect ratio” checked, the image will scale proportionally.

  • Upscale for Quality: If resizing lowers your resolution below 300 DPI, use the Upscale option to restore print quality.

  • Remove Background: To save space on your gang sheet transfer, remove any unnecessary background. This ensures you’re only paying for the actual printed design, not empty

Step 4: Add Multiple Sizes to Your Custom Gang Sheets

If you’re printing for different shirt placements, you can add multiple versions of the same design in different sizes:

  • Full Front Prints: Larger designs for t-shirts or hoodies.

  • Pocket Logos: Smaller versions resized to about 3 inches wide.

  • Sleeve Prints: Narrow designs (e.g., 4″ x 1″) that fit perfectly on sleeves.

Each variation shows its individual cost, and you can easily adjust quantities. This is one of the biggest advantages of gang sheet DTF transfers — fitting multiple sizes or designs onto one custom DTF sheet

Step 5: Review Costs & Checkout

The system calculates the price per transfer and shows a running total cost across all selected designs. Once everything looks right, click Add to Cart.

From there, proceed to checkout by entering your shipping and contact information. That’s it — you’ve successfully ordered your custom heat transfer gang sheet transfers with Print Habit.

Once your order arrives, follow our DTF Transfer Pressing Guide to apply them with perfect results.

Frequently Asked Questions About DTF Transfers

What is a DTF gang sheet transfers?

A DTF gang sheet is a large sheet of film where you place multiple designs together to maximize space and reduce cost. This makes it easy to order custom DTF sheets with different sizes (full chest, pocket, sleeve) on a single order. We have a DTF Printing Guide if you want to learn more about the DTF printing process and how DTF works.

Yes! One of the biggest advantages of DTF transfers is their versatility. They work on 100% cotton, polyester, blends, and even dark garments without needing pre-treatment. This makes DTF printing on cotton and polyester ideal for apparel businesses and custom merch.

To apply, place the transfer on your garment, press with firm pressure at the recommended temperature of 325F for 15-20 seconds, hot peel, and you’re done. Check out our How-To for pressing transfers for more on How To Apply DTF transfers step by step.

DTF stands for Direct to Film printing. In this process, designs are printed onto a special PET film and then transferred to fabric with heat. Many customers compare it to screen printing, but DTF plastisol transfers often provide more flexibility and faster turnaround.

While DTF transfers are designed to be long-lasting, it is possible to attempt removing DTF transfers with heat and care. However, this can damage the garment. For best results, we recommend applying them to final garments you’re confident in.

No. DTF film sublimation uses a different process that bonds inks into polyester fabric only, while DTG (direct-to-garment) prints directly onto fabric. DTF transfers work on cotton, polyester, and blends — making them more versatile than sublimation.
